553KL is an affordable baby scale from Health-O-Meter which is a step up from their economical 549KL. Larger weighing tray, built-in measuring tape, and more precise accuracy make it a better choice for the medical sector. Both scales weigh up to 44 pounds, but only the Healthometer 553KL features 0.5 ounce graduations and EMR connectivity. Electronic medical record support through USB connection means you can tie the baby scale into an existing system with this type of compatibility. We do have to stress that EMR support still requires a software specialist to configure, and does not include the software. Baby scale features include waterproof On/Off, Zero/Clear (tare), Hold/Release and kg/lb buttons. 553KL infant scale weighs in kilograms or pound/ounces and are powered by 6 "AA" batteries.
