EC15 is an affordable parts counting scale from Ohaus Corporation.  It operates on AC power or by rechargeable lead acid battery which allows for 80 hours of continuous use.  It takes approximately 12 hours to fully charge, but due to the AC adapter, you can operate the Ohaus EC-15 nonstop.  Portability is certainly one of the highlights of the EC Series since they are light in weight and feature a built-in handle for easily transporting to different locations.  Weight can be determined in pounds or kilograms and 10 memory locations for average piece weight may be configured to speed up startup time for some of your most frequently counted parts.

The Ohaus EC Series offers 4 different models to choose from.  Depending on what it is you need to count will determine the counting scale most appropriate for you.  Make sure none of your pieces weigh less than the resolution and as a rule of thumb, we recommend purchasing a parts counter with a resolution of what your smallest piece weight actually is.  This ensures accurate counting and will allow you to use the counting scale for applications you may need in the future.

Ohaus EC Series counting scales have capacities ranging from six to 60 pounds, and can count parts as small as 0.0002 pounds (based on model). Ideally suited for a host of counting applications, including annual inventories, stock rooms, print shops and rentals, the EC Series Counting Scales can be used to count parts ranging from semiconductor chips, electronic coils and screws to ticket stubs and seeds.

• Fast Sampling – Enter the number of pieces in your sample, press the dedicated Sample key, and start counting.
• Manual APW Entry – For parts with an established Average Piece Weight, just input the APW value, press the dedicated APW key, and start counting.
• Auto Optimization – Start with a small sample size of 10, and then add random lots of pieces (below original sampling size) to increase your Average Piece Weight accuracy. The EC Counting Scale continues to recalculate the APW with each batch of parts you count.
• Dedicated Keys – The EC Counting Scale has dedicated keys for the most common counting operations – Sample, Tare, Zero, APW entry, and Pre-Set Tare entry.
• Low Weight Alerts – If the total weight or APW is too low, the EC Counting Scale will warn the user.
• Flexible Taring – Preset tare weights can be quickly entered via the keyboard, or use the Tare key.
