The 440KL is the latest digital physician scale available from Health-O-Meter.  While the 500KL has been extremely successful especially as a low cost doctor scale, the 440KL offers an even better value for those in need of a more economical scale.  Of course you will lose out on certain features, but it gives you more options as far as paying for the features if you need them, or saving money for something much more basic.

Most of the advanced features included in the 500KL eye-level scale have been left out including the height-rod, BMI function, EMR support, Hold/Release, Auto Zero and optional AC adapter.  While these features are important to many medical grade applications, they are more costly to produce.
