Tree MCT-3.3 is a basic digital scale with parts counting function that won't exceed your budget.  While a typical counting scale can cost several hundred dollars or more, the MCT Series is a fraction of the price since it lacks many of the bells and whistles associated with standard counting scales.  Simply compare to the Tree LCT counting scale to see the difference between a counting scale and digital scale with counting function. 

Tree LCT and MCT are both decent scales, but the LCT-3LB displays weight, average piece weight and total pieces, features target limits so you are alerted when the parts reach the target amount and it has a larger platform.  We recommend the LCT model most of the time so you can take advantage of these more advanced features.  The MCT Series is still the more economical choice for applications that do not need these additional functions.
