Ohaus Valor 2000 Series were designed for food processing applications and feature quadraseal ABS plastic housing with NEMA 4 / IP65 ingress protection rating.  This rating ensures the V21PW3 is protected against dust and small jets of water.  This does not mean it is waterproof, but it is water resistant.  You would never want to submerge the balance completely under water or allow large jets of water to hit it, such as hosing it down.

Valor 2000 food scales come standard with internal rechargeable battery for portability, as well as a removable stainless steel pan cover for easy cleaning.
